Frequently Asked Questions


Do you accept perishable items?

Yes, we are happy to accept:
  • Fresh produce
  • Yard eggs
  • Meat, including venison and other animal meat that have been properly processed and packaged into smaller units.
  • Fresh bread and other baked goods that are individually packaged.

    What do you not accept?

  • We are unable to take bulk dry items (5lb bags or greater) as we serve individual families and do not have meal preparation facilities for these items.
  • Expired items.

    Can I hold a drive for a specific item you need?

    Yes! Please contact us to see what we are low on at the time of your planned drive.

    Do you pick up donations?

    Yes, we can arrange pick ups for donations that are approximately the size of a pick up bed or larger. Due to limited transportation and volunteers, pick ups must be scheduled at least a week in advance.

    When can I drop off donations?

    Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 9a-12p. To schedule a drop off after hours, please contact Yvette Roussel, Development Associate, at yroussel@northshorefoodbank.org.
